Lead Developer

The Position We are looking for world-class engineers with the acumen to handle problems in artificial intelligence, recommendation engines, data warehousing, web crawling, usability, security, performance and scalability. You will work with brilliant people who speak widely different languages (academic, technical, natural and otherwise) than you. You will lead research and development projects, drive entire product areas and develop far-ranging technical and business expertise.

Candidate Requirements You think of yourself as a Senior Engineer, Uber Tech Lead or World-Class Programmer and have the track-record to prove it. You are relentless, you love to learn and you are not afraid of complexity. You can lead our most difficult projects, teach us what we don’t know, and quickly absorb complex technical and business concepts. You have a Computer Science BS/MS/PhD from a top university and extensive experience in Ruby, Python, Java, and/or C/C++. Rails experience a plus. In addition to leading a team of sharp engineers, this is a hands on position and you’ll need to pass the programming interviews.

The position is in our Beijing office and includes relocation.

Software Engineer

You will contribute to both research and production projects, develop both technical and business expertise and launch code weekly.

Candidate Requirements You are a brilliant software engineer with experience launching web applications using the latest open-source technologies. You are relentless. You love to learn and you are not afraid of complexity. You should have a Computer Science or technical BS/MS and 2+ years of engineering experience – and you’ll still need to pass the programming interviews.
